Eyelash extensions are a fantastic way to enhance your look.  If you are looking for a way to really make your eyes “pop” and accentuate more of your natural features – this is certainly the way to do it.  Unfortunately most people only think about getting lash extensions for special occassions such as weddings, or black tie events.  But the truth of the matter is, lash extensions are also ideal for everyday wear.  In fact, many of our clients prefer lash extension because they don’t feel the need to use mascara anymore and sometimes they even ditch their eyeliner too!  You’ll fall in love with the results you’ll get from our lash extensions whether you go with a more subtle/natural look or go all out glam – you’re certain to look drop dead gorgeous! 

Some of you may have some questions about the details around lash extensions – so we’ve put together some FAQ’s to help answer those questions and clear up any misconceptions about lash extensions. 

What Are Lash Extensions?
Lash extensions are a great way to lengthen and thicken your own eyelashes. Lash Extensions are single strands that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied to your individual natural eyelashes one by one for a natural yet stunning effect. Eyelash Extensions are perfect for special occasions or for an everyday look as well.

What will the finished result look like?
The finished result is a look and feel that is completely natural looking. It will be difficult for anyone to really know you have lash extensions. They will just think you were born with beautiful, long lashes!  We can customize your look to meet your desired result.

How long do they last?
Eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Everyone’s experience will differ slightly based on day-to-day activities and how well you take care of your lashes.  A full set will last up to 2 months, however to keep your gorgeous lashes full and fresh, touch-ups are usually required.

How often should I get touch-ups?
We recommend getting a touch up every 2 to 4 weeks.  A touch up is needed to fill in any lashes that have fallen out. Touch ups average about 60-90 minutes.  If you wait too long to get a touch-up, too many of your eyelash extensions will fall out (along with your natural lash growth cycle) and you will require a brand new full set.  Just like your nails, or your haircolor, some maintenance is required.

What mascara should I use with my lash extensions?
Most people don’t find the need to use mascara after their lash extensions have been applied because the lashes are so thick and dark.  If you choose to still use mascara, it can only be water based mascara. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara or any type of oil based mascara can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your lash extensions. Care also needs to be taken in washing off the mascara. Only use a water based eye makeup remover or a Magic Mitt.

Can I get my lash extensions wet?
Yes. The bonding agent we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc. Special care is required but overall maintenance is low. We do recommend however that you do not wash your eye area for about 12- 24 hours after the eyelash application.

Can I use Eyelash Curlers with my lash extensions?
We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions, as these curlers will damage the extensions and possibly your own natural lashes. The extensions do have a natural curl but if more of a curl is required we recommend using a specialized heated eyelash curler.
