What Will A Chemical Peel Do For Me?
Sun exposure, acne or just getting older can leave your skin tone uneven, wrinkled, spotted or scarred. If you want your skin to look smoother and younger, consider a chemical peel, which uses a chemical solution to smooth the texture of your skin by removing the damaged outer layers.
A chemical peel is one of the least invasive ways to improve the appearance of your skin. A chemical facial peel can provide several benefits to the skin. The procedure can restore a more youthful appearance to skin and reduce wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, sun-damage, and blotchy patches.
- Acne or acne scars
- Age and liver spots
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Irregular skin pigmentation/dark patches
- Rough skin and scaly patches
- Mild Scaring
- Sun-damaged skin
What to expect:
During your peel, you will experience a slight stinging/tingling sensation which is the chemical actually working. Our Master Esthetician will check in with you on your level of comfort to ensure you are having a pleasant experience and whether to proceed with additional peel “layers” or what boosters (if any) to add to your formula. Each persons skin is different and our experienced Master Esthetician is very skilled in knowing exactly how to handle each type of skin.
Immediately after your peel, your skin may be slightly pink, but not to a point where you would feel uncomfortable being in public. We recommend not washing your face until the following day allowing the complete process of the peel to work. We also recommend not applying any makeup following your peel for a minimum of one day.
It is also important to stay out of the sun for 3-5 days after your peel and refrain from activity that will cause you to sweat for at least 2-3 days.
